How to write lowercase p in semi-joined handwriting

In semi-joined handwriting, p is written in one stroke. Start on the red dot and keep going without lifting your pencil.

Step by step

  1. Stroke 1: start at the middle line, on the left and go straight down.

p is a one-armed robot letter: go down the stem, back up, then over.

In semi-joined writing most letters join to the next one; after b, f, g, j, p, q, s and y you leave a small gap instead.
