How to write lowercase r in print

In print handwriting, r is written in one stroke. Start on the red dot and keep going without lifting your pencil.

Step by step

  1. Stroke 1: start at the middle line, on the left and go round anticlockwise.

r is a one-armed robot letter: go down the stem, back up, then over.

This is the print (precursive) form taught in UK schools: separate letters with small exit flicks that make joining easier later.
