About this stage
Letters are learnt in families that share a starting movement, so each one helps with the next: the long ladder letters go straight down, the curly caterpillar letters start at the top right and go round anticlockwise, the one-armed robot letters go down, back up and over, and the zig-zag letters are made of diagonals.
Print letters here already have the little exit flicks used in UK schools. They make joining much easier later on.
