About this stage
Joins come in two main kinds: diagonal joins that rise from the baseline, and horizontal joins that leave from the top of o, r, v and w. Practising each kind on its own makes whole words easier.
In the fluency lesson a timer shows how long each sentence takes. Aim for writing that stays clear as it gets quicker, rather than for the fastest time.
